Driving Innovation Through Inclusion: CHIMES2 Joins the Women In Techworks Launch

CHIMES2 attended the landmark Women in Techworks launch event held at Arm's headquarters in Cambridge on the 17th of June.

CHIMES2 Manager, Dr Laura O'Keefe attended the inaugural Women in Techworks launch event hosted at Arm's headquarters in Cambridge. Organised by Techworks, the sold-out event convened almost 160 engineers, industry executives and academics for a comprehensive schedule of keynotes, panel discussions, and technical sessions focusing on leadership, workplace culture, and real-world technology deployment.

The day started with a personal address from Jillian Hughes, Founder of Women in Techworks, who reflected on her 35-year career before a keynote from Charlotte Eaton, Chief People Officer at Arm. Mahdeieh Ghoddusi, Director of Delivery at UKESF, followed who discussed their plans to address the gender imbalance in electronics - highlighting the importance of early interventions such as Girls into Electronics. Further sessions explored mentoring, leadership and retention and AI trends in the workplace before finishing with a panel discussion titled "From strategy to systems: executive leadership in an AI Era".
